Supervisor Romaine Visits Town COVID Vaccination “Pop Up POD” at Rose Caracappa Senior Center

Farmingville, NY – Supervisor Ed Romaine recently stopped by the Town’s Rose Caracappa Senior Center in Mt. Sinai, the site of a two-day COVID-19 vaccination “pop-up POD” for Brookhaven residents over the age of 50. During his visit, there was a continuous flow of residents into the center who were scheduled to receive their vaccine. The senior center has been closed in response to the COVID-19 health crisis. Supervisor Romaine said, “The Rose Caracappa Senior Center has been closed for over a year and this was an appropriate reason to open the doors again. I am greatly encouraged by the number of people who registered for the vaccine and I thank New York State for working with us to make them more convenient for residents. We hope to assist New York State with distributing more of vaccinations soon.”
