Farmingville, NY – On May 4, Councilman Michael Loguercio joined members of the Rotary Club of Bellport to honor the men and women of the Armed Forces in recognition of National Military Appreciation Month. The Rotarians donated $500 to VFW Post 8300 of East Patchogue and General Needs Ltd., an organization that focuses on helping thousands of homeless Long Island Veterans and their families through charitable donations and support. National Military Appreciation Month is celebrated every May and encourages U.S. citizens to observe the month as a symbol of unity. It honors current and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces, including those who have died in the pursuit of freedom.

Councilman Loguercio said, "Great job tonight by the Bellport Rotary Club honoring and supporting local VFW Post 8300 and General Needs Ltd., an organization that provides assistance to those veterans in need."
