Meet our gorgeous girl Aspen. A year ago she was found tied up to a mailbox and a Good Samaritan untied her and brought her to us. No owner ever came forward. Aspen was adopted and sadly she was returned a year later. At the shelter she got along with dogs but as it turns out she is not really a fan of them and her family had two other dogs that she was no longer tolerating. Her Mom was heartbroken but needed to do right thing for her other dogs. Aspen was scared and nervous when she arrived the first time, however she is still insecure about meeting new people. She has come a long way but still gets shy and acts silly at times. When she knows you and is your friend she is super affectionate and a total sweetheart. Aspen is doing very well, she remembered her friends at the shelter and has made friends with the new staff and enjoys her time with everyone. She is very treat motivated, the way to heart is definitely through her stomach. she will need a patient person to take their time and continue teaching her that life is good and there is so much fun to be had. She is housebroken, knows sit, down and place. Aspen is energetic and very playful with everyone at the shelter, she will need to be the only pet in an adult household. it is important that she continues to be socialized. We are hoping for a wonderful family to fall head over heels for our shy girl who is going to flourish and be the loyal loving best friend that we know she can be. She is 63 pounds and only about 2 years young, she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, micro-chipped and heartworm negative.
