Farmingville, NY - On June 19, Councilman Michael Loguercio (left photo) held his first recycling event of the year at Brookhaven Town Hall. More than 250 residents participated in the paper shredding, e-waste recycling and drug take back event that resulted in 9,760 lbs. of paper to be shredded, 9,200 lbs. of e-waste dropped off (right photo) and numerous boxes of unwanted and expired medications to be safely disposed by the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department.
Councilman Loguercio said, “These special recycling events are always a huge success due to our residents that take the time to stop by to recycle their e-waste, as well as safely dispose of any unwanted medications with our Suffolk Sheriff's Department and shred their important documents securely. Thank you to all the folks who worked so hard to make this event run smoothly and efficiently for all. We look forward to seeing more residents take advantage of this great event at our next scheduled one soon."
