Farmingville, NY – On July 18, Supervisor Ed Romaine attended the Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony at the Manorville Fire Headquarters for Stephen E. Hines from Boy Scout Troop 221 in Manorville. Supervisor Romaine said, “Congratulations to Stephen for completing his project and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a fine young man who will certainly be a leader of tomorrow and from what I can see, we will be in very good hands."

Since the award was presented in 1912, no more than four percent of all Scouts have attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than two million young men.
