Farmingville, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Michael Loguercio have announced the completion of the resurfacing of 17 residential roadways in the vicinity of Swezeytown Road North and South Swezeytown Road in Middle Island.
The total cost for this paving project was approximately $710,000. Highway Department crews raised, rebuilt and installed 30 drainage structures prior to milling and paving in this area.
Superintendent Losquadro said, “In addition to ensuring the roads in this paving project are smoother and safer for motorists and pedestrians, the extensive drainage work that was completed will help water to flow properly and maintain the life of the new roadways.”
Councilman Loguercio said, “Once again I would like to thank Highway Superintendent Dan Losquadro and the Brookhaven Town Highway Department, who have completed another extensive paving project in the 4th Council District. This completed paving project is another example of how we are helping to make our roads safer, and adding to the beautification of yet another neighborhood in the 4th Council District community.”
Roads paved during this project include Arnold Drive, Bartlett Road, Cedar Branch Street, East Street, Evergreen Avenue, Frank Avenue, North Street, Northfield Road, Old Middle Country Road, Pine Cone Street, Poinsetta Avenue, Raymond Avenue, South Street, South Swezeytown Road, Swezeytown Road North, West Street and White Oak Street.
