On February 1 at 7:00 pm, the Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau will present a virtual screening of the documentary “Angst, Raising Awareness Around Anxiety,” featuring Olympic Gold Medal winner Michael Phelps. The film shines a spotlight on anxiety and is aimed at inspiring a conversation. The post-film panel discussion and “Question and Answer” session features a panel of expert professionals in the field of mental health and regular teenagers who will discuss their experiences with anxiety.
In addition to academic and social stress, the uncertainty and fears caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have created more anxiety than before. “Angst, Raising Awareness Around Anxiety” helps to break this down, explaining what’s going on and what we can do about it to help ourselves and others.
Space for this “live” viewing and panel discussion is extremely limited and links to the movie premiere will be provided on a “first come, first served” basis. Those interested in participating must register at BrookhavenNY.gov/AngstRegistration by January 26.
