Town Garbage Pick Up to Start at 5 a.m. on Friday March 10 Due to Impending Snowfall

Farmingville, NY –  With current weather forecasts indicating 3” to 5” of snow across Brookhaven on Friday, March 10, the Town will begin garbage pick-up one hour earlier, at 5:00 am rather than the usual 6:00 am start time. The Town urges residents to place garbage cans at the curb earlier than usual, and remove them from the street soon after pick-up to help keep the roads clear for snow plow access. The Town also asks residents to move vehicles that are parked on the street into driveways.

Residents should call 451-TOWN to report snow related issues. Call 911 for police, fire and ambulance emergencies only. To report a power outage or downed wires, call PSEG at 800-490-0075 or go to their website to file a report online.

Please go to the Town’s website for up-to-date snow storm related news, information, weather updates and emergency contact numbers.
