Farmingville, NY – On February 12, Councilwoman Jane Bonner (right) attended the Boy Scouts Court of Honor ceremony for new Eagle Scouts Dominick Passaro (center) and Jason Skubliskas (second from right) from Boy Scout Troop 1776 in Mount Sinai. The event was held at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rocky Point, where Joshua installed a paver walkway as his Eagle Scout project. To complete his Eagle Scout project, Dominick led a team of volunteers to install and replace signage in the buildings of the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind in Smithtown, Also pictured are State Senator Mario Matera (left) and Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker (second from left).
Councilwoman Bonner said, “Leadership, hard work, and dedication to the community are what it means to be a Boy Scout. Dominick and Jason are fine young men who will be our leaders of tomorrow and I commend both of them for completing their projects and being honored as new Eagle Scouts."
