Farmingville, NY – On February 28, Councilman Michael Loguercio (right) attended the Rotary Club of Bellport’s monthly meeting at Avino’s Italian Table restaurant in Bellport Village. During the meeting, the Councilman presented a Certificate of Congratulations to club president Lorraine Mazza Kuehn, who recently was the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship award. The award acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation. Rotary established the award in 1957 to encourage and show appreciation for substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.

“It was my honor to present Lorraine Mazza Kuehn, President of the Rotary Club of Bellport, with a certificate of congratulations for her leadership of our club and for being presented with Rotary’s highest award: the Paul Harris Fellowship award,” said Councilman Loguercio, a club member for many years. “Thank you, Lorraine, for all you do in the community and for Rotary.”
