Supervisor Romaine & Councilwoman Cartright Re-Open Sand Street Beach in Stony Brook with Restrooms

Farmingville, NY – On July 27, Supervisor Ed Romaine (left) and Councilwoman Valerie M. Cartright (right) visited the Town’s Sand Street Beach facility in Stony Brook to officially re-open the beach and the newly renovated restrooms (pictured at right). The Town also installed new landscaping and benches. The beach was closed in 2016 while the Town renovated the restrooms. Sand Street Beach will be open for swimming with lifeguards on duty Saturdays and Sundays only from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm. The facility is located at the west end of Sand Street where it meets Shore Road in Stony Brook.
