Brookhaven Councilman Loguercio Serves as Judge at Bellport Fire Department Chili Cookoff

Town Seal

Farmingville, NY – On March 11, Brookhaven Town Councilman Michael Loguercio served as one of the judges at the Bellport Fire Department’s Chili Cookoff, held at the fire department. Members of the Bellport Fire Department, along with fire departments from neighboring communities, brought their best chili recipes to the table. Councilman Loguercio and fellow judge Suffolk County Legislator Jim Mazzarella enjoyed all the chili that was made. They determined the top three awards: First place North Patchogue, second place Bellport and third place Manorville.

Councilman Loguercio said, "Great job to all the departments that entered in their best chili. Thank you to Legislator Jim Mazzerella for judging along with me. It wasn't easy picking from this group of entries, as they were all delicious. Thank you to Gino Cruz for organizing and to all the hardworking members of the Bellport Fire Department for making this event a great success."
