Farmingville, NY – On Arbor Day (Friday, April 29), the Town of Brookhaven will hold its annual tree seedling, mulch and compost give away in the South Parking Lot of Brookhaven Town Hall, located at 1 Independence Hill in Farmingville from 3-6 p.m. It’s all part of Supervisor Ed Romaine’s “Greening Brookhaven” initiative. Mulch and compost are available in bulk only, so residents must bring shovels and containers to load it into their vehicles. •Rose Caracappa Center, 739 Route 25A in Mt. Sinai (residents only)

•Brookhaven Landfill, 350 Horseblock Road in Brookhaven Hamlet (residents only)

Commercial vehicles are permitted only at the Manorville Compost Facility, where a fee of $12 per yard will be charged.
