Farmingville, NY - On April 30, Supervisor Ed Romaine (left) attended World T’ai Chi and Qigong Day at the Town of Brookhaven’s Diamond in the Pines Park in Coram. The event was coordinated by Laurince D. McElroy (right) from Water Tiger T’ai Chi. World T’ai Chi and Qigong Day educates people worldwide about Tai Chi and Qigong health benefits, provides a free global teachers directory, free online video lessons, medical research, and resources on how to incorporate mind-body arts into society at all levels.
Supervisor Romaine said, “T’ai Chi and Qigong Day at Diamond in the Pines Park has become a tradition in the Town and I am happy to have it back after two years being canceled due to COVID 19. It is an event that helps people to learn the mind-body practices that can improve everyone’s quality of life.”
