This adorable and sweet girl is Chanel. She was surrendered to the shelter as her family was unable to properly care for her. Our hope is to find her a family to call her own. Chanel is hoping for a second chance and a better life. She is a gentle soul who arrived at the shelter and was overwhelmed by what life had handed her. She is a bit shy and nervous, Chanel takes her time getting to know you. She is slowly becoming more confident and politely asking for attention. She is now engaging with toys and enjoys a bone and treats when she is hanging out in the offices or on an outing with her favorite staff member. They go all over, Chanel has been to Starbucks, Swell Taco, the beach, Babylon docks, Southaven Park and a friends house for a visit. She has really come such a long way. Chanel is looking for a family to love, a door to look out of and get her daily dose of sunshine and a bed to curl up in. She is easy to leash up and she is getting the hang of going out for a walk. Chanel would love to have a home of her own once again. She is social with big dogs only, no small dogs or cats please. Chanel would do best with kids 12 years old and up. She loves smelly treats, rides well in a car, according to her previous owner she is housebroken, crate trained and she can jump a 6 foot fence. Her favorite treat is still a Puppuccino from Starbucks. She is 59 pounds, about four to five years young, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, micro-chipped and heartworm negative.
