Farmingville, NY – - On May 18, Supervisor Ed Romaine (right) and Councilman Neil Foley (left) stopped by the Town’s Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center in Blue Point to celebrate Nancy Basile’s 102nd birthday. The East Patchogue resident was born in Brooklyn on April 25, 1920. She married Michael Basile in 1948 and worked as a dressmaker. Nancy is the mother of two daughters, Grace and Rosanne; 3 grandsons and 9 great grandchildren. She lives at Avery Village in East Patchogue and is a member of the community’s senior citizen club. At her birthday celebration, Nancy was presented with a proclamation from Supervisor Romaine and Councilman Foley and Town Council naming May 18, 2022 as “Nancy Basile Day” in the Town of Brookhaven.
