Farmingville, NY – -Recently, Councilman Michael Loguercio (right) hosted a recycling event at Brookhaven Town Hall in Farmingville. Also pictured is Supervisor Ed Romaine (left) who stopped by to thank the Councilman and residents for doing their part to recycle in the Town of Brookhaven. The recycling event was co-sponsored by the Town of Brookhaven’s Department of Recycling and Sustainable Materials Management and DIME Community Bank. It attracted nearly 268 residents who dropped off 9060 lbs. of paper and 7,780 lbs. of electronics for recycling. In addition, 7 boxes of unused and expired pharmaceuticals were collected for proper disposal by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department. Councilman Loguercio’s next recycling event will be held on Saturday, November 5 from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm at the South Country Public Library, 22 Station Road in Bellport.
