Farmingville, NY – -NY - On June 11, Councilwoman Jane Bonner (left) and NYS Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio (right) honored Boy Scouts from Troop 1776 during the Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony held at Mount Sinai High School. Since the award was presented in 1912, no more than four percent of all Scouts have attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than two million young men. Also pictured (left to right) are new Eagle Scouts Landon Steffens, Eric Kucera, Nicholas Giardella.
"I commend all of these young men for their accomplishments,” said Councilwoman Bonner. "Boy Scouts are the leaders of tomorrow, and from what I can see of this outstanding group, I can say that we’ll be in good hands.”
