Farmingville, NY – -NY - On June 18, Supervisor Ed Romaine attended the Colonel Josiah Smith Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) “Splash into Summer” annual luncheon at the Bellport Country Club. The guest of honor and keynote speaker at this year’s event was NSDAR Regent, Patrice Powley Birner, Ms. Birner is from the Orleans, New York Chapter, NSDAR, where she is joined in membership by her mother, her sister, two nieces, and two cousins. She served three years as State Historian for the New York DAR. During the event, Supervisor Romaine presented proclamations from the Town Board to Ms. Powley Birner and Laura Miller, Col. Josiah Smith Chapter Librarian/Historian and former Treasurer.

Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpolitical woman’s volunteer service organization.
