Farmingville, NY – -NY - On June 24, Supervisor Ed Romaine visited the Suffolk County Radio Club’s Amateur Radio Field Day at the Longwood Youth Sports Complex in Yaphank. The event celebrated the club’s 75th year, making it oldest amateur radio club on Long Island. Founded in 1947, the Suffolk County Radio Club (SCRC) is dedicated to preserving the past and promoting the future of Amateur Radio. They encourage innovation in ham radio, providing public service and educational opportunities, fostering goodwill within the community.
