Manorville, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Dan Panico have announced the completion of a Manorville paving project.

Prior to paving eight roadways just north of South Street in the vicinity of the Manorville Fire Department, crews inspected and installed new drains and repaired and replaced damaged concrete curbing and aprons. Roadways resurfaced include: Bensel Street, Carmody Street, Irvin Place (LIE South Service Road), Ryerson Avenue, Sohmer Street, Silas Carter Road, Wadleigh Avenue and Wilber Avenue. The total cost for this paving project was approximately $540,000.

“This was one of the first paving projects to be completed during our 2022 paving season,” said Superintendent Losquadro. “Ryerson is heavily traveled by motorists accessing the LIE and, the Manorville Fire Department sits on Silas Carter Road, which was in need of repair. I was grateful to kick off our paving season resurfacing these roadways and providing relief for all who travel them.”

Councilman Panico said, “Paving our roads is a priority for the Town. Rising costs and inflation have seriously affected municipal finances everywhere. Despite the rising costs, we will resurface as much as possible for our residents.”
