Garbage Pick Up Canceled, Town Board Meeting to be Adjourned and Historic District Advisory Committee Meeting Rescheduled
Recreation Centers, Senior Centers and Aquatic Center Closed
Farmingville, NY – In anticipation of the impending snow storm, the Town of Brookhaven has canceled the Tuesday, March 13 garbage pickup. There is no change for Wednesday collections. The Tuesday, March 13 Town Board Meeting scheduled for 5:00 pm will be adjourned and the public hearings will be rescheduled to the Thursday, March 22 meeting. The Town has also rescheduled the Tuesday Historic District Advisory Committee Meeting to Wednesday, March 14 at 5:00 pm.
All Town Recreation Centers, Senior Centers and the Brookhaven Aquatic Center in Mastic will be closed all day on Tuesday, March 13. The Town’s Meals on Wheels program will be suspended on Tuesday and will resume on Wednesday, March 14. Please note, however, that Wednesday’s meals have already been distributed today by the Town to all Meals on Wheels program participants. The Town’s Jitney Program will also be suspended on Tuesday.
Residents should call 451-TOWN to report snow related issues. Call 911 for police, fire and ambulance emergencies only. To report a power outage or downed wires, call PSEG at 800-490-0075 or go to their website to file a report online.
