Farmingville, NY - On September 28, 2022, Dress for Success Brookhaven will celebrate 23 years of empowering women in our community at their annual gala to be held at Land’s End in Sayville. Each year hundreds of women come through our doors – women who have lost their jobs, survived abuse, or simply faced challenges that have held them back. Dress for Success Brookhaven gives these women hope and a second chance to succeed both professionally and personally. By providing the tools and resources needed to find a job and keep it, we are empowering women to create a brighter future and inspiring them to follow their dreams.
We cannot offer these life changing services without your support! Please join us for an evening of celebration at our annual gala. There are many opportunities for getting involved with our gala; whether you donate an auction item, come on board as an event sponsor or purchase tickets to attend the event, your contribution will directly support the programs that Dress for Success provides to women across Long Island.
Dress for Success is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the developmental tools to help thrive in work and in life. Established in 1999 with the support of the Town of Brookhaven, the Division of Women’s Services and more than 50 volunteers, Dress for Success Brookhaven has been instrumental in helping more than 6,500 women achieve their goal of becoming self-sufficient and economically independent. The proceeds from Dress for Success Brookhaven’s Gala will directly support programs for women in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
About Dress for Success
Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help clients find jobs and remain employed. Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and can return when she finds work to receive a week’s worth of clothing. Brookhaven was the first affiliate to be established as part of the worldwide non-profit organization. The women we serve come from across Long Island. They are job ready women who have been referred by over 250 local non-profit organizations, including domestic violence agencies, veterans’ organizations, homeless shelters and job training programs.
Our mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success Brookhaven is sponsored by the Town of Brookhaven Department of Housing and Human Services, Division of Women’s Services.
The Dress for Success Boutique is located at Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill in Farmingville. It is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All client visits are by appointment only.
