2017 Free Summer Concerts in Port Jefferson Station

Farmingville, NY - Councilwoman Valerie M. Cartright and Suffolk County Legislator Kara Hahn would like to remind residents about the Free Summer Concert Series in Port Jefferson Station, July 12th through August 9th. The concert series, which is sponsored by both offices, is always free and open to the public and has been expanded this year. Residents are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the evening musical event.


Four concerts will be held at the fields of JFK Middle School on Jayne Boulevard, and the 5th and final concert will be held at the North Brookhaven Traincar at the intersection of Route 347 and Route 112. Also, back by popular demand is the Children's Instrument Petting Zoo, taking place Wednesday August 9th. This interactive program is for children ages 3 to 6 to learn about to woodwind and string instruments. RSVP for the Instrument Petting Zoo is required at 631-854-1650.


The first concert will be held this Wednesday, July 12th 5 to 8 p.m. with performances by The School of Rock at 5 p.m. and The Acoustic Maniacs - the Pete and Joe Show (songs from the 70s-90s) at 6 p.m. The concert will be held at JFK Middle School, 200 Jayne Boulevard, Port Jefferson Station.
