HUD Official Alicka Ampry-Samuel Visits Brookhaven Town Affordable Housing Properties

Farmingville, NY – – On October 19, Alicka Ampry-Samuel (center), Regional Administrator of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), was in Brookhaven Town to look at the affordable housing projects in the community. The tour included many single-family homes made available through the Long Island Housing Partnership, Inc. The tour also included a stop at the 100-unit Gleneagle Green at Bellport development, which is being developed by the D & F Development Group. The seven-acre site is located on Atlantic Avenue, adjacent to the Boys and Girls Club of Bellport. (LIHP) has been to provide affordable housing opportunities to those who, through the ordinary, unaided operation of the marketplace, would be unable to secure, or remain in, a decent and safe home.
