Farmingville, NY – – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Neil Foley have announced the recent completion of an 11-road paving project in East Patchogue.
Prior to paving, crews completed concrete improvements, inspecting all area drains and repairing and replacing damaged concrete aprons, sidewalk and curbing.
“In addition to the resurfacing of the roadways, this paving project involved the installation of new drainage to alleviate existing flooding concerns in the area,” said Superintendent Losquadro.
Councilman Foley said, “This was one of the most extensive paving projects in my district and a giant step toward improving drainage in an area that is susceptible to flooding. I thank Superintendent Losquadro and the men and women of the Highway Department for their efforts.”
Roads resurfaced during this paving project include Abets Creek Path, Erving Avenue, Hagerman Avenue, Hedges Avenue, Hedges Road, Oakdale Avenue, Orchard Road, Plymouth Avenue, S. Lenox Avenue, Stephano Road, and Walker Avenue. The total cost for this paving project was approximately $740,000.
