Town of Brookhaven’s Holiday Happenings Make the Season Bright

Farmingville, NY – – It’s time for the holidays and the Town of Brookhaven is celebrating the season with our Holiday Happenings for 2022.

Christmas Tree Lighting
Friday, December 2 at 6:00 pm
Holtsville Ecology Site, 249 Buckley Road in Holtsville

Join your friends and neighbors at our annual lighting of the Town Christmas Tree and enjoy entertainment, hot chocolate and character strolling while waiting for Santa Claus to arrive by helicopter. Costumed characters meet-n-greet starting at 5:30 pm.

Holiday Light Spectacular
December 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18
5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Sundays 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Holtsville Ecology Site, 249 Buckley Road in Holtsville
Enjoy fabulously festive lighted displays for the holidays during this indoor walk-through show. Admission is $10 per adult, $8 per child/senior/veteran and children under 3 are free. Tickets must be purchased online at Brookhavenny.gov/holiday.

Santa Comes to Historic Longwood Estate
Saturday, December 3; 11:00 am-2:00 pm
Corner of Longwood Road and Smith Road in Ridge

Enjoy an old-fashioned sleigh ride, hot cocoa, roasted chestnuts and photos with Santa Claus Letters to Santa must include child’s name and address. Bring an unwrapped toy for our INTERFACE Toy Drive for children in need. Admission is $5.00 per child 12 years and under.

Holiday Toy Drive
Friday, December 16 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill in Farmingville

All five JVC radio stations, My Country 96.1; LI News Radio 103.9; Party 105.3; La Fiesta 98.5 and Oldies 98.1 broadcast from the lobby at Town Hall at our biggest toy drive of the year. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for a child in need.

Menorah Lighting
Tuesday, December 20 at 6:00pm
Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill in Farmingville

Celebrate Hanukkah at our annual Menorah lighting and enjoy entertainment, hot latkes, doughnuts and more.
