Farmingville, NY – – On Monday, February 27, the Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau launched Girl Talk, the free support group for girls. “Girl Talk” is a small group discussion that will cover a variety of topics that are important to girls from 13 to 16 years of age. Topics include Managing Anxious Thoughts; Healthy Coping Skills; Relaxation & Self-Care Tips; Healthy Dating and Relationships; Self-Esteem & Self-Image; and Goal Setting for the Future.
The ”Girl Talk” group meets at the Youth Bureau office located at Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill in Farmingville on Mondays from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Upcoming “Girl Talk” dates are scheduled for March 13; March 20; March 27; April 3 and April 10. The Brookhaven Youth Bureau’s mission is to support and encourage the moral, physical, mental and social well-being of youth in Brookhaven Town.
