Farmingville, NY – – On March 30, Deputy Supervisor Dan Panico (right) and Councilwoman Jane Bonner (left) met with Coram resident Phil DeSoiza, who stopped by Brookhaven Town Hall to collect supplies for cleanups that he coordinates in his community. Mr. DeSoiza and three other residents have undertaken weekly litter clean-ups in Coram on Canal Road, Pine Road, Swezeytown Road and Coram-Mt. Sinai Road. He was also at Town Hall to help promote the 15th Annual Great Brookhaven Cleanup scheduled for Saturday, May 13.
Every spring, individuals and groups join the Great American Cleanup, the nation’s largest organized cleanup, beautification and community improvement program. Over the last 15 years, more than 50,000 Brookhaven residents have joined tens of millions of volunteers in communities across America to pick up litter and clean up rivers, lakes and seashores in their communities.
