Farmingville, NY - On April 3, the Leisure Village Senior Club in Ridge held a flea market and auction in their clubhouse to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event featured hundreds of items including small appliances, toys, games, lamps, glassware, knick-knacks and much more. The flea market and auction raised more than $3,000 for the hospital
Councilwoman Bonner said, “I thank the Leisure Village Senior Club for holding their flea market and auction in support such a worthy cause. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital does great work to prevent and cure childhood diseases and the money donated by the Leisure Village Senior Club will help sick children get well.”
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay. Visit St. Jude's website for more information or to donate.
