Farmingville, NY – On April 15, Councilwoman Jane Bonner joined the Sound Beach Civic, Girl Scout Troop 2019 and Boy Scout Troop 354 to clean the parks along New York Avenue in preparation for the 2nd Annual Spring Festival and Street Fair. This annual event will be held in downtown Sound Beach on Saturday, April 22 (rain date April 23), from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Spring Festival is a family favorite event that celebrates the arrival of spring. It features vendors, games, scavenger hunt, activities and a large selection of great food. The cleanup for the festival was also done as part of the Great Brookhaven Clean Up, which is scheduled for May 13. Go to www.BrookhavenNY.gov for more information.

Councilwoman Bonner advised as to the proper way to dispose of the flag, so they folded it in preparation for delivery to the local VFW post to be burned.
