Farmingville, NY – – Recently, Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine welcomed Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney as a guest on his Brookhaven Cable television program, Coffee with the Supervisor. In a discussion about the ongoing efforts to protect and serve the residents of Suffolk County, DA Tierney discussed his years of experience as a prosecutor at both the state and federal level, witnessing firsthand the challenges facing law enforcement and the legal system. Go to www.BrookhavenNY.gov for a complete Channel 18 broadcast schedule.

Topics discussed during the program were the Thomas Valva murder case, which DA Tierney acknowledges that the work is far from over. His office continues to investigate and make recommendations to help ensure that such tragedies never happen again. They also touched upon bail reform laws that have been enacted in New York State and how the District Attorney is committed to working with government partners to enact laws that prioritize public safety. They also spoke about the ShotSpotter system, which can quickly detect and locate gunshots, leading to faster response times and a stronger deterrent against gun violence. Despite the challenges, DA Tierney remains optimistic, thanks to the support he receives from Suffolk County residents and officials.

You can tune into Brookhaven Cable Television Channel 18 to watch Coffee with the Supervisor and other Town programs including Town Board, Planning Board and Zoning Board meetings, Press Conferences, Zombie House Demolitions; Public Service Announcements and more.
