Farmingville, NY – On April 25, Supervisor Ed Romaine (center right) and Councilwoman Jane Bonner (center left) welcomed Ultra-Marathon runner Eva Casale and “Team EVA” (Every Veteran Appreciated) at Brookhaven Town Hall during her ”7 Marathons in 7 Days.” Starting on April 23, Casale has led the team during what she calls “Every Veteran Appreciated” Week. Each day’s marathon will be focused on honoring local servicemen killed in action and will be linked to communities they call home. Day 3 was dedicated to “Michael Murphy/Brookhaven Fallen Heroes Day” By April 29, the team will have visited over 350 Points of Honor and will have laid over 350 flowers, cones, wreaths, and flags in memory of our Fallen Heroes. During the Team EVA stop at Town Hall, the Supervisor and Councilwoman presented Ms. Casale with a proclamation declaring April 26 as “Eva Casale Day” in the Town of Brookhaven.
