Farmingville, NY – On April 27, Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich attended Jefferson's Ferry Life Plan Community Foundation’s 18th Annual Fundraiser at Flowerfield in Saint James. The event was held in support of the “Making Memories” fund that will help residents in their new memory care wing with special programs such as day trips, entertainment, exercise classes, massage therapy and activities that get them out in the community to mix and mingle with people of all ages. The theme of the night was “Springtime in Paris,” and it was attended by residents, administrators, Trustees and other guests. Dr. Nikhil Palekar, MD was honored from the Town of Brookhaven as April 27, 2023 was declared as Nikhil Palekar, MD Day for his leadership at the Stony Brook Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's Disease to improve the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's disease and dementia, as well as significant contributions to provide the community with opportunities to participate in cutting edge clinical trials and research studies. Also honored with a proclamation was Greystone Executive Vice President, Brad Straub for the company’s skilled efforts at managing the community’s expansion.
