Farmingville, NY – Councilman Neil Foley (right) visited Patchogue Village Hall to present a new Town of Brookhaven flag to Mayor Paul Pontieri (left). The new Town flag will replace one currently flying in American Legion Park in Patchogue. Councilman Foley delivered the new flag prior to this year’s Memorial Day Parade. It will fly along with flags representing the Village of Patchogue; New York State; Suffolk County and the branches of the United States military.
Patchogue’s annual Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 29. It starts at 11:00 am at Route 112 (Medford Avenue) and Main Street and travels west to South Ocean Avenue where it turns left and ends at the American Legion Post 269 at the corner of South Ocean Avenue and Baker Street. A memorial service will be held that includes a traditional wreath laying ceremony and a 21-gun salute.
