Town Demolishes Vacant House on Pinehurst Boulevard in Calverton for Open Space Preservation

Farmingville, NY – On May 23, Deputy Supervisor Dan Panico (right) and Peconic Lake Estates Civic Organization (PLECO) member, Charles Guthrie were on-hand for the demolition of a vacant house located at 103 Pinehurst Drive in Calverton. The house had become dilapidated, and the property strewn with debris until the Town cleaned it up and prepared the property for demolition. Upon completion of the demolition and debris removal, the property will be preserved as open space by the Town. This demolition is part of Deputy Supervisor Panico’s plan to clean up properties in neighborhoods throughout Council District 6.
