Newly Elected Councilman Neil Manzella Is Sworn In

Farmingville, NY –  Farmingville, NY- At the May 25 Town Board Meeting, newly elected Councilman Neil Manzella (fifth from left) was sworn in by District Court Judge Evan Zuckerman (center). Councilman Manzella was elected to the Town Council in a Special Election on April 25, 2023 after the post was vacated by former Councilman Kevin LaValle’s election to Town Clerk. Prior to being elected, Councilman Manzella served in the Brookhaven Town Assessor's office for five years. As a Town Councilman, Neil is committed to using his experience and knowledge to make improvements to town procedures that will have a positive impact on the lives of Brookhaven Town residents. The Third Council District includes Lake Grove, Centereach, Selden, and parts of Lake Ronkonkoma, Farmingville, Port Jefferson Station, and Holtsville. Councilman Manzella worked for the William Floyd Union Free School District, Longwood Central School District, and Middle Country Public Library in the field of information technology before coming to the Town. Through these positions, Neil has gained a strong understanding of the value technology brings to efficiency and innovation. Neil, and his wife Rebecca, (pictured) with their two children Neil and Layla, reside in Selden. Also pictured are Supervisor Ed Romaine and the Town Council members (right).
