Councilmember Kornreich Attends Little Free Library’s Installation at West Meadow Beach

Farmingville, NY - On June 22, Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich joined members of the Emma S. Clark Memorial Library for the 8th annual installation of the Little Free Library at the Town of Brookhaven’s West Meadow Beach on Trustees Road in Stony Brook. The Little Free Library is a “take a book, leave a book” concept and kept well stocked with a wide variety for all ages. The Little Free Library was first installed at the beach in 2016 and has been maintained by the library’s teen volunteers every year. Pictured left to right are Emma S. Clark Memorial Library Marketing Communications Manager, Lisa DeVerna; Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich; Library Director, Ted Gutmann; Librarian Jen Mullen and Teen Services Librarian, Emily Ostrander.

Councilmember Kornreich said, “I was thrilled to have attended the eighth annual installation of a Little Free Library at West Meadow Beach today. As a firm believer of the power of reading and learning, I’m excited to see this resource available to the community again. Thank you, Director Ted Gutmann, Jen Mullen, Lisa DeVerna and Emily Ostrander from the Emma Clark Library for making this all happen.”

The Emma S. Clark Memorial Library is located at 120 Main Street in Setauket. It provides public library service to all residents of the Three Village Central School District.
