Farmingville, NY – Recently, Supervisor Ed Romaine, Deputy Supervisor Dan Panico, Councilwoman Jane Bonner and Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich attended the graduation and moving forward ceremony at the Sunshine Alternative Education & Prevention Center in Port Jefferson Station. The center is a leader in the field of prevention (substance abuse and violence prevention) and is concerned about the social and emotional needs of all children and families. It provides a family-centered approach to prevention. All programs are designed to build on healthy social skills, each with a focus on specific needs. It is an approved Provisional Charter through New York State (NYS) Education Department and Board of Regents.
