Farmingville, NY – Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine has announced the Town of Brookhaven will hold the annual Veterans Food Drive from Monday, July 10 through Friday, July 28. This food drive is sponsored by the Town’s Division of Veterans Services in partnership with the Suffolk County Veterans Services Agency. By working with local veterans’ organizations, donations of food will be distributed directly to veterans and their families.
The following town facilities will serve as drop off sites:
- Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill in Farmingville
- Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center, 39 Montauk Highway in Blue Point/li>
- Brookhaven Town Highway Department, 1140 Old Town Road in Coram/li>
- Rose Caracappa Senior Center, 739 Route 25A in Mount Sinai/li>
Suggested food items for donations include all non-perishables including canned soups, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, cereal, oatmeal, and rice.
