Farmingville, NY – On June 11, Councilman Dan Panico (right) was joined by Suffolk County Legislator Rudy Sunderman (left) at the demolition of a “Zombie House” located at 45 Diana Drive in Mastic Beach. The house, which was vacant for many decades and located on wetlands, was seized by Suffolk County as a property tax forfeiture and transferred to the Town. The land was cleared of all debris and will be preserved as open space by the Town.

Councilman Panico said, “The residents of Mastic Beach are witnessing the most aggressive crackdown on suburban blight in the history of Brookhaven Town. We are serious about cleaning up the area and with every demotion we move closer to achieving that goal.”
