Supervisor Panico Declares State of Emergency in Brookhaven Town Due to Nor’easter and Severe Rain

Farmingville, NY –  Brookhaven Town Supervisor Daniel J. Panico has declared a State of Emergency “due to the occurrence of a Nor’easter and severe rain event in the Town of Brookhaven” effective at 8:00 am today, January 10, 2024. See the attached “Declaration of State of Emergency.” The North and South Shore communities of the Town were especially hit hard by the storm that produced heavy rain, strong winds and flooding. Residents should call 451-TOWN to report storm related issues. Call 911 for police, fire and ambulance emergencies only.
