Farmingville, NY – On February 23, Councilmembers Kevin LaValle, Neil Foley and Michael Loguercio hosted the Town’s first blood drive of the year at the Portuguese-American Center of Farmingville. The event was held in partnership with the New York Blood Center. “Blood donations save lives, and I thank everyone who came down to help our drive,” said Councilmember LaValle. “I’d especially like to acknowledge the people from the Portuguese-American Center for their support of this event.”
Councilmember Foley said, “When the call goes out for blood donations, we can always count on Brookhaven residents to help. I urge everyone to give the lifesaving gift of blood whenever they can”
Councilmember Loguercio said, “The blood drive was very successful because of the generosity of so many Brookhaven residents. It was a great turnout by the community and I thank the New York Blood Center for working with the Town on this event.”
