Councilman LaValle Honors Members of the Selden Fire Department at Installation Dinner

Farmingville, NY –  On April 8, Councilman Kevin LaValle attended the Selden Fire Department’s Annual Installation Dinner at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook. At the event, he honored the 2016 Members of the Year, members with Year of Service Milestones and the incoming and outgoing officers. Each was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for their service to the community. A special proclamation was presented to firefighter Fred Korte for his time of service beginning in 1949.

 Councilman LaValle said, “All my thanks go to the members of the Selden Fire Department for their dedicated service to the community. They put their lives on the line every day to save lives and protect the property of their neighbors. I especially want to thank Fred Korte for 68 years of service.”
