Farmingville, NY - Supervisor Ed Romaine is pleased to announce that the Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau will hold its Annual Coat Drive from January 10 to February 10 to help residents in need stay warm this winter. Donations of new or gently used coats, scarves, hats and gloves in infant to adult sizes can be dropped off at the following locations:
- Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill, Farmingville
- Brookhaven Highway Department, 1140 Old Town Road, Coram
- Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center, 39 Montauk Highway, Blue Point
- New Village Recreation Center, 20 Wireless Road, Centereach
- Rose Caracappa Senior Center, 739 Route 25A, Mount Sinai
“Many of our neighbors in need don’t have proper clothing to keep warm during the winter months, especially during extreme cold weather” said Supervisor Romaine. “I commend our Youth Bureau for organizing the Coat Drive and encourage residents to go through their closets and make a donation.”
The Youth Bureau is looking to match, or even better, the success of last year’s coat drive; which provided more than 800 coats to residents in need. For more information, please call the Youth Bureau at 631-451-8011.
