Farmingville, NY - On May 21, Supervisor Ed Romaine attended Memorial Day services at the Brookhaven Volunteer Firefighters Museum in Ridge, a not-for-profit organization that educates visitors about the history of volunteer firefighting. The museum’s mission is to exhibit the history and heritage of firefighting through artifacts and maintained pieces of vintage firefighting apparatus as a means of education and a memorial to firefighters who have passed. The museum hosts an annual Memorial Day ceremony on the weekend before Memorial Day when every Fire Department in the Town of Brookhaven is represented.
