Councilman Panico and Brookhaven Town Board Honor Tri-Hamlet Resident Bayley Cuomo for Helping Neigh

Farmingville, NY - On July 20, Councilman Dan Panico and the Brookhaven Town Board honored Tri-Hamlet resident Bayley Cuomo for lending a compassionate, helping hand to her neighbors in need. On July 2, her next-door neighbor’s house caught fire and the family lost most of their belongings. Bayley, who is 16 years old, took to Facebook asking for any donations to help the family. Through the July 4th weekend she collected bags of donations including food, clothing, furniture, pet supplies for the family dog and other necessities, including a place for the family to stay. When asked about her generosity, Bayley answered, “It was the right thing to do. You’re supposed to help people who need and deserve help.”

Councilman Panico said, “We can all learn a great deal from Bayley’s acts of kindness. She is an amazing young woman who is most deserving of praise and recognition.”
