Councilwoman Cartright Honors 50th Anniversary of the Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk

Farmingville, NY - On September 22, Councilwoman Valerie M. Cartright attended the 50th Anniversary of the Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Inc. (EOC). For 50 years the EOC has been supporting activities that assist low-income families and individuals. Their mission is to promote self-sufficiency by broadening the minds of children, revitalizing communities, and assisting families and children in need. The EOC is continually spearheading opportunities to be the bridge between a resident and a resource; whether it’s serving the elderly, or someone in financial crisis, empowering youth, or serving our veterans. “Serving the community should always come first, and the EOC has never failed to provide access to opportunities and extend their hand to support their community. Thank you, EOC of Suffolk, for your 50 years of service to the Town of Brookhaven and all of Suffolk County. The Town is proud to be working alongside an agency that works so diligently,” stated Councilwoman Cartright.
