Farmingville, NY - Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine and fellow Town Board members, in conjunction with the Sons and Daughters of Italy, have announced that the 2nd Annual Taste of Italy - An Italian American Heritage and Culture Event, Celebrating Italian Music, will be held on Friday, October 27th, 5-7 p.m., in the 2nd floor auditorium located at Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill in Farmingville.
The event has been established to highlight and showcase the many contributions that Italian Americans have made, while celebrating Italian culture. This year’s Taste of Italy will focus on Italian music, with live performances from local musicians John Ciotta and Dave Setteducati. In addition, the evening’s festivities will include artwork and a variety of cultural displays followed by light refreshments with an Italian flare generously donated by area Italian eateries.
Supervisor Ed Romaine said, “Brookhaven Town has one of the largest Italian American populations in the state of New York, and this event is a perfect way to recognize them and their culture. I look forward to enjoying a wonderful night celebrating with so many good friends at Town Hall.”
"You will be enthralled by our entertaining singers belting out those great Italian classics, and of course offering the attendees some very sumptuous Italian food from Brookhaven Town. Come down and enjoy!"
This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 631-451-6502.
