Supervisor Romaine and Councilwoman Bonner Attend the Blessing of the Fleet at the Mount Sinai Yacht

Farmingville, NY - On June 10, Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilwoman Jane Bonner attended the Blessing of the Fleet at the Mount Sinai Yacht Club (MSYC). This annual event in Mount Sinai Harbor began with a continental breakfast followed by a boat parade and the blessing. Prizes were awarded for the best decorated boat, and members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary were on hand to conduct courtesy boat inspections. Pictured are Supervisor Romaine; the Reverend Jerry Nedelka; Councilwoman Bonner and MSYC trustee and three-time past Commodore Bill Dick.

Supervisor Romaine said, “The Mount Sinai Yacht Club has a very rich history on the North Shore and they continue to be an important part of the community. I wish them luck this season and applaud the work they do to help to make Brookhaven a better place to live.”

“I am always delighted to attend the blessing of the fleet at the Mount Sinai Yacht Club,” said Councilwoman Bonner. “I wish every club member smooth sailing and a safe and happy boating season.”
